The Automation Technician is key in supporting manufacturing by ensuring all equipment and processes are operating at high efficiencies in order to meet customer demands. This position’s primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and maintain custom electromechanical equipment, automated work cells, vision systems and multi axis robots. Also responsible for creating and de-bugging PLC programs with varying levels of complexity and initiating and completing technical activities leading to new or improved production processes. Knowledge of PLC programming, set-up of Cartesian and SCARA robots preferred. Requirements include minimum of Associates Degree in one of the following: Controls, Electronics or Automation with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience with strong mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills. Previous experience in an injection-molding environment preferred, but not required.
