Join UW Discovery Farms on August 12th, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for an evening of delicious food and engaging discussion. Topics discussed will include cover crop decision making and test options for your nitrogen program. The night will end with a tour of the beautiful Bomaz Farms. This is a great opportunity to chat with fellow crop consultants, farmers, and ag professionals and receive valuable take home information while enjoying a free meal. Guest Speakers: Brian Briski, USDA-NRCS area resource conservationist, will discuss cover crop decision making with plenty of time to answer all your cover crop questions! He will offer practical tips on where and how cover crops might fit in your rotation. Megan Chawner, UW Discovery Farms nitrogen use efficiency project coordinator, will give a refresher on the many soil and tissue tests available to use in your nitrogen program. She will discuss some of the possible benefits of trying a new one, providing information on how to incorporate these measurements and results into your nitrogen program.
